Welcome to Shahi Catering. These Terms and Conditions apply to your use of our website and to enquiries, quotations and catering services provided by Shahi Catering in Melbourne, Victoria.

By using our website, requesting a quote or booking our catering services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1. Catering Enquiries and Quotes

Customers may request a catering quote through our website, by email, telephone or other communication channels.

Submitting an enquiry or quote request does not constitute a confirmed booking.

All quotations are based on the information supplied at the time, including the event date, location, number of guests, menu selection and services required.

Prices may change if the event requirements subsequently change.

2. Booking Confirmation

A catering booking is considered confirmed only after Shahi Catering has:

  • Accepted the booking;
  • Confirmed the event details and agreed price; and
  • Received any required deposit or advance payment.

Availability cannot be guaranteed until the booking has been confirmed.

3. Deposits and Payments

A deposit may be required to secure your event date.

The deposit amount, payment schedule and final balance due date will be specified in your quotation or booking confirmation.

Customers are responsible for ensuring payments are made by the agreed due dates.

Failure to make payment when due may result in cancellation of the booking.

4. Guest Numbers

Customers must provide an estimated number of guests when requesting a quotation.

Final guest numbers must be confirmed within the timeframe specified by Shahi Catering before the event.

Additional charges may apply if guest numbers increase after the quotation or booking has been confirmed.

5. Menu and Dietary Requirements

Customers should advise us of any dietary requirements, food allergies or intolerances when making a booking and confirm these requirements before the event.

While we take reasonable care when preparing food, our kitchen may handle common allergens including nuts, dairy, gluten, eggs, sesame and other ingredients.

We cannot guarantee that any food will be completely free from traces of allergens.

6. Event Location and Access

Customers are responsible for providing accurate information about the event venue, including the address, access arrangements, parking, loading facilities and any venue restrictions.

Additional charges may apply where unusual access requirements, extended travel, parking costs or additional labour are required.

7. Changes to a Booking

Requests to change the event date, menu, guest numbers, venue or other booking details should be made as early as possible.

Changes are subject to availability and may result in an adjustment to the quoted price.

Significant changes may require a revised quotation.

8. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation conditions, including any applicable deposit retention, cancellation charges or refunds, will be governed by our Booking & Cancellation Policy and the terms provided with your quotation or booking confirmation.

Where applicable, nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes rights available to customers under the Australian Consumer Law.

9. Event Delays

Shahi Catering will make reasonable efforts to provide services according to the agreed event schedule.

We are not responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including venue access problems, road closures, severe weather, emergencies or other unforeseen events.

10. Food Handling After Service

Where food is provided to the customer or remains after an event, customers are responsible for appropriate handling, refrigeration and storage once the food has passed into their possession or control.

Shahi Catering cannot accept responsibility for food that has been improperly stored, handled or consumed after the recommended period.

11. Damage and Loss

Customers may be responsible for loss of or damage to equipment, serving items or other property supplied by Shahi Catering where the loss or damage is caused by the customer, their guests or persons under their control.

Any applicable replacement or repair costs will be communicated to the customer.
